"The recent violent protests in Sydney following a YouTube publication of an American anti-Muslim film have given Australia ample evidence that its decency and balanced acceptance of people of Muslim religion living in Australia is still very vulnerable and capable of violent flare-ups and racist escalation, and Chris Bowen should be clear, unambivalent and decisive - and block the attempt for Dutch anti-Muslim politician Geert Wilders to gain entry into Australia [1] to pour oil on the flames of right-wing extremism, and incite racial hatred," WA Human Rights group Project SafeCom said this morning."

"I was born in the shadow of the Second World War in the Netherlands, and my paternal family lived in the dark shadow of recently closed Jewish extermination camps in Dachau, Bergen-Belsen and Treblinka, while the smell of cordite and the sound of bombings in my birth country had only just lifted when I was a child. In the middle of such monstrous memories, Geert Wilders parades around the Dutch Parliament and the western world, linking Muslims to his extremist Arian racial superiority beliefs, and preaching a world-wide exclusion from western countries for anyone who is a Muslim," spokesman Jack H Smit said.
"While the world may think Mr Wilders has 'blonde hair', it should be understood that he is a 'peroxide-blonde'. Geert Wilders bleaches his hair to look like an archetypical Arian Blond Boy in an effort, an indeed repulsive attempt, to represent Nazi Germany's idealised typology of the pure and superior Arian race. Everyone who has lived through the horrors of the Holocaust and who has understood the significance of what happened in Europe during those days still shudders with repulsion when looking at Wilders and listening to his views."
"Wilders has no place in Australia and he has nothing to contribute to Australian discourse. Without Wilders we're already racist enough and we have still mountain-loads of racial patterns to shed from Australian views - and regrettably from some of our policies. Wilders should be banned from coming here."
