March 2006 - The Project SafeCom News and Updates have operated to assist hundreds of human rights advocates, activists, lawyers and migration agents, welfare organisation workers and concerned citizens since the end of 2001.
Since its beginning we have always issued this newsletter on a free-for-subscribers basis, knowing that our supporters - and there are many of them... - return the favour by financially supporting our full-time operations.
More recently however, the amount of "voluntary contributions" from Newsletter subscribers has declined, giving some ground to the consideration that an annual subscription fee may become more appropriate, if not unavoidable.
Below is a Poll for subscribers, attempting to place a value on the Newsletter. It is not necessarily a prelude to a fixed annual subscription, but we are considering that option, if subscribers do not contribute the approximate equivalent to the annual value of the Newsletter.
Poll question: What annual value do you place on your personal subscription to the Project SafeCom Newsletter, the News and Updates, based on its current performance, frequency and contents?
